In 1979 she completed her studies at the Kharkiv Zooveterinary Institute with a ‘commendation’.
From 1980 to 1990 she worked at the Moldovan Research Institute.
In 1987 she successfully defended her thesis for the degree of candidate of biological sciences on the specialty 03.00.13 – physiology of people and animals.
In 2004 she defended her dissertation work for the degree of doctor of veterinary sciences at the speciality 03.00.13 – physiology of people and animals.
At Sumy National University works from September 2005 to the present time at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine professor, head of the department of anatomy, normal and pathological physiology.
In 2006 M.D. Kambur was awarded the title of professor of chair of anatomy, normal and pathological physiology.
Main teaching disciplines: “Physiology of Animals”, “Pathophysiology”, “Neonatology”.
Area of research – physiological and biochemical basis of performance enhancing, creation and preservation of animals. Development of the multiparametric system of milk production, attainment of live-born offspring and regulation of processes of reproduction of great horned livestock.

DBT. Approval of the impact of biologically active natural substances on reproductive function of cows, hormonal aberration of growth and fetal development, resistance and productivity of farm animals.

Participates in the scientific and methodological council of the Sumy National University. Supervises the preparation of doctors of philosophy, thesis, master’s works at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.
Participates in the International scientific-practical conferences, seminars and festivals of prominent scientists in the physiology of animals of Ukraine, the formation of plans for the publication of teaching and scientific literature on the physiology of agricultural animals.
