The directions of the scientific work of the department are sections of the thematic plan for scientific research of Sumy National Agrarian University: “Optimization of a complex of measures to prevent the emergence and spread of infectious animal diseases in farms of the North-Eastern region of Ukraine“, state registration number 0122U001254 (2022-2027).
Main directions:
- Monitoring of the epizootic situation regarding rabies, tuberculosis, bovine leukosis and animal leptospirosis in the Sumy region.
- Study of the epizootic situation of respiratory infections in pigs
- Study of the epizootic situation of mono- and associated infections of farm animals and poultry; development and implementation of new methods of diagnosis, therapy and prevention in the farms of Ukraine.
- Development of veterinary immunobiological preparations
- Study of immunological resistance and immunocorrective therapy in animal helminthiasis;
- Development of methods of lifelong diagnosis of invasive diseases using environmentally safe drugs;
- Development of a method of storage of wet macropreparations;
- Development of bioecological prevention of animal helminthiasis in the conditions of the forest-steppe and steppe zones and the Polyssia zone of Ukraine;
- Study of helminthiasis-anthropozoonoses in the north-eastern region of Ukraine.
