Roman was born on February 20, 1978 in Sumy. In 1995 he graduated of secondary school №13 in Sumy. From 1995 to 2000 he studied at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the Sumy State Agrarian University, which he graduated with honors, receiving the qualification – a specialist in veterinary medicine. From 2000 to 2003 he studied at the graduate school of the Sumy State Agrarian University, specialty 16.00.08 – epizootology and infectious diseases.
18.01.2006 he defended a thesis for the degree of candidate of veterinary sciences on the topic “Features of the course of poultry escherichiosis against the background of zearalenontoxicosis” at the Institute of Experimental and Clinical Veterinary Medicine (Kharkov). December 23, 2008 by the decision of the Attestation Board of the Ministry of Education and Science, he was awarded the academic title of Associate Professor.
From 2011 to 2014 he studied in full-time doctoral studies at the specialty 16.00.09 – veterinary and sanitary examination. On June 29, 2016, he defended his thesis for the degree of Doctor of Veterinary Sciences on the topic “Fish aeromonosis (epizootic monitoring, diagnostics, biological properties of the pathogen and the development of treatment and prophylactic measures) in the specialty 16.00.03 veterinary microbiology, epizootology, infectious diseases and immunology at the National scientific center “Institute of Experimental and Clinical Veterinary Medicine” (Kharkov).
From October 2017, he elected by competition for the position of professor of the Department of Veterinary Sanitary Expertise, Microbiology, Zoohygiene and Safety and Quality of Livestock Products.
In 2018 he graduated from the Sumy State Pedagogical University named after A.S. Makarenko and received a Master’s degree in Secondary Education (English Language and Literature).
Since September 2020 he is a head and professor of Departmen of Virology, patanathomy and poultry diseases of SNAU.
Disciplines: carries out lectures and laboratory-practical classes in the discipline “Veterinary and sanitary examination”.
Direction of scientific research: “Theoretical and practical grounds for improving the methods of veterinary and sanitary assessment of the quality of freshwater fish in diseases of infectious etiology.”
